Plans for new buildings and features in Grantham’s Wyndham Park are set to go on display later this month.
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and BIG Lottery Funded project will include plans for renovation of the old swimming pool ticket office, the creation of a community focused visitors’ centre, the relining and filling of the boating lake and new soft landscaping work.
All of the proposals will be on show at drop in events on Monday March 20 from 12pm to 4pm at the Isaac Newton Centre in Grantham and at Wyndham Park Bowls Club on Tuesday March 21 from 1pm to 6pm.
The park was awarded funding of £818,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund last July to restore it as a First World War memorial park and initial works are set to begin this September.
SKDC’s Executive Member Cllr Nick Craft said: “The plans are set to take Wyndham Park into a new era with facilities that befit its status as a flagship park for the district.
“Consultations over recent years have helped shape what park users young and old wish to see at the park. Come down to the sessions or take a look online from March 20 to see how new buildings and features are set to appear.”
